Hi all,
I have been "lurking" here, reading various threads for a few weeks, and joined about 10 days ago. I finally got this login and posting stuff figured out!
OK, new to tumbling, but a long time amateur collector of rock. I bought my first tumbler 3 weeks ago from Rock Shed, a Lot-O-Tumbler. I have a few piles of stuff out in the yard, from sites all around the state [NM] and so I selected some samples for my 1st batch. They are mostly agates, not sure what they are named. They have now been rolling [vibing?] for about 17 days in 120/220 grit. I hope to get some photos of the finished stones when they are done, and post them. I forgot to get some shots of the batch before I started. I'll learn.
regards,
ed

Welcome (sort of neighbor),
I'm from Texas, but spend a lot of my time in NM going to the Deming Rock Show every year, fishing, and camping out there. I may as well be a native New Mexican.
Enjoy this place. Lots of great people here.
