My wife and I are new to rockhounding, and we are hooked already ;D. We have done some rockhouding in North Carolina while visiting family and had such a great time, we already have rocks in a tumbler that we bought when we got back. We have been reading this forum for a few weeks now and thought it was time to say hello.

To the Hooked Hawks. a very warm welcome from the deepest south .... eh well , not quite THAT deep or I would be frozen to my tumbling barrels.
Great to have you join us on this rocky path to new shines and brightness.

Welcome Hawks. Don't know where you were in North Carolina, but I have friends in King and Tobaccoville, North Carolina and I have spent quite a bit of time there. There is an incredible abundance of Quartz there. These polish up wonderfully!
