Hi,

I am new here and new to rock tumbling. I just got a Lortone 3A tumbler in the mail yesterday.

I have some amethyst, emeralds and rubies that I want to tumble.

Can I put all three together or should they be done separately?

Does anybody have better recipes that what is in the Lortone instruction book?

I have the lortone 4 step grit kit which has

60/90 coarse
120/220 med/fine
aluminum oxide prepolish
ultra fine aluminum oxide polish
plastic pellets

I am anxious to get started but could use some helpful hints on what to do.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
Check out the General forum (1st on list) there's lots of posts in there about doing emeralds and the other. You might also try the search feature to find some. Good luck, Lortones a good brand of tumbler that will give you years of service.
