i'VE BEEN READING POSTS FOR A WHILE, AND TRIED TO REGISTER AS A MEMBER.....BUT HAD PROBLEMS. DECIDED TO TRY AGAIN AND WHOPEEE ! I FINALLY MADE IT ! MY NAME IS KEVIN, I'M FROM CENTRAL MINNESOTA AND JUST STARTED TO POLISH ROCKS IN JANUARY. I DID HAVE A CHEAP TUMBLER WHEN I WAS A KID......BUT THE RESULTS WERE AWFUL. DECIDED TO TRY AGAIN AFTER VISITING A ROCK SHOP. I POLISH MOSTLY LAKE SUPERIOR AGATES. I FIND THEM NEAR MY HOME. I HAVE BEN MAKING ROSARIES AND JEWELRY FOR 20 YEARS.

Welcome to the forum Kevin, glad you finally made it in. A fellow Minnesotan who picks lakers near his home. How nice is that? I find a few but there aren't too many up here on the range. Generally end up traveling closer to your area to look for them.
