Well, I just HAD to start looking at rocks on ebay and now I am hopelessly addicted to making lists of different rocks and looking them up. I'm retiring to Arizona in 14 months (yippee!!) but have already started hoarding rocks. Good thing I have family in Arizona, I can send the really heavy stuff to them. Mom keeps yelling about the piles - can't understand why, she can get into the house via the garage, why would she want to use the front door?
Can't wait to start working on my rock piles. Now I'm starting to feel the urge to collect some on road trips. Does this mean my addiction is growing? I think I hear Mom starting to whimper. . . ;D ;D ;D

LOL Yeah, I guess you are hopelessly addicted. Collecting on road trips is a lot more fun than ebay, unless of course it's something you can't roadtrip too. You really should warn the family, it gets way worse before it gets better!!
Welcome to the forum and the hopelessly addicted rockhounds!

I'm going to retire to Leisure World in Mesa, Arizona. About 20 miles east of Phoenix. My idea of heaven. Get up when I want to, watch what I want on TV, go swimming every morning . . . some serious bumming around. Don't have to get dressed for the office or wear warpaint. Get myself a golf cart and turn every pedestrian I see into a born-again Christian. I plan to have projects scattered all over the house and tons of rocks in the garage. . . that lived-in, it's a minefield sort of decor that people like to call eclectic. I can't wait!
