I purchased a used vibrator tumbler at a yard sale... Tried to follow instructions, but on the final polish (2nd day), I accidentally let it run dry... I was trying to polish Lake Superior Agates. They were looking good up to that point... How can I get the dry polishing compound off of them? My husband thought if we put them back in with the "pre-polish"... Any suggestions? Thanks, Sue

Hey Sue, put them back in the tumbler with some water and borax and run them for while. Just keep an eye on them. When they are clean, just pull them out.

Sue: Ron is right. The h2o borax will work. Welcome to the forum where all your questions will be replied too, even answered maybe? Pete

Thanks everybody! I'm going to get some Borax... From what I've been reading on the website - it sounds like a good product to have around!

Got the Borax, and it cleaned the stones up quite well... Some of them were pitted, so the white (from the "final polish" compound) stayed in the pits, but overall - OK! At least for the first try... Don't know how to post pics yet. Thanks for all the encouragement and help!
