Hi Gang! I am from Flagstaff, Arizona and bid a fond greeting to my fellow rockhounds! I was bitten by the bug after moving here from So. California 6 years ago where the rocks have been paved over with concrete and asphalt! Arizona, and the Southwest holds so much natural wonder, I am thankful everyday to live here. I also run a website for rockhounds: bigarizona.comLook forward to meeting and chatting with you all! Regards, BAZ (or Mike!)

Hey Mike, by the way, I love your lightning. I was at the Grand Canyon back in the early 60's and watched a thunderstorm from above. It was down in the canyon and you could see lightning flashing everywhere! Arizona's a great state.

Hi Ron and KD, say, what do the stars mean under your names?

Hey mike and welcome, the stars are for the post you make, the more you post the more starts you get. When there is no more room for stars, they get bigger and change colors. Nice web site BTW

Baz Welcome from the rockless state (well almost rockless) of Mississippi. We are talking about a trip to the 4 corners next spring. In the mean time I'll just be jealous of you more fortunate rockers. Pete

Hi Mike, I was rockhounding west of Phoenix right before T.Giving. Evidently I'll be back to Phoenix, quite possibly even in January, YEA! I picked up a lot of chalcedony with fire agate in the desert. Shortly after I went another board regular was posting messages while visiting Arizona. I found your website before the trip and printed out a lot of useful info. from it -- thanks.

Hi Puppie,
Glad our site was of some use to you! That is actually the first time I have heard a testimonial since we have had it up. There is some good Fire Agate in the east part of the state too, around Safford near Tuscon. Also up by Laughlin in Oatman. Let me know and I can give you concise directions to the Oatman collecting area if you think you'll be up there.
