Hello to all, just want to say my husband and I are new to the board. We have lurked around and read postings for quiet some time and decided that the ever growing mound of rocks we are adding to means we need to learn more! ;D We purchased a CE last year to start us on the road and then found out the CE road would be a bumpy one! We are now regrouping and learning more about the other tumblers and ready to purchase and upgrade. We love this board and the way everyone shares their knowledge and hope to asks lots and lots of questions and learn as much as we can. Thanks for such a great place to share our obsession!

Hi there, welcome to the board Oregonrockers. Sorry you had to start out on such a bumpy road (ce's) good to know that you're looking at upgrading to a better machine. Feel free to ask any questions you might have, there's always someone around who'll be happy to help.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! I DO worry about asking to many questions and making a pest out of myself....but I guess that is the only way to learn! I have already been posting photo's to the "what is this board" to try and learn more. I could take photo's and post pic's all day long and drive everyone crazy, with all of the rocks we have sitting around here. We are from Junction City, which is a small town outside of Eugene. We don't know anyone else who is as freaky about rocks as we are and we are scaring all of our friends away...lol, so..we came hunting for a cool board full of people who are freaky about rocks too!....I think we found it! ;D Thanks again for the welcome!

The madness has only just begun...The husband constantly mumbles about the "damn rocks all over the place!" Daughters fiance said it's got to be genetic cause he says she's starting to bring home stray rocks too....and so it goes!

Welcome to the board rockers. I also went the c/e road, now have 3 Thumlers. I am like you, none of my friends are into rocks, my son says "its a rock"! But I love it and get knowledge from my friends on here. Never be afraid to ask. Terry

Thank goodness, more folks from Oregon. I am in Springfield (Springtuckey) and I am completely wacked when it comes to rocks! My family is on the verge of having me committed because of my overwhelming obsession with ROCK.
We have some many great places in our area to rock hound, maybe we'll run into each other some where.
Welcome to the best gang of crazy people on the web!

Hmmm I was born in OR., maybe i was born "rock crazy" and brought it north with me and infected others? LOL I love OR. you guys can honestly boast you have the best beaches on the west coast IMHO... The rest of OR. is nice also. Next summer '07, i WILL go rockhounding down that way! Also i think its cool that you BOTH hound/tumble, i think im in the same boat as most ppl in that my wife would rather stick her hand a hot stove then rockhound... LOL ( She does want to wire wrap with me though, so thats cool! ) Eric
