Hi everyone, very very new to the art of tumbling and looking forward to seeing everything here. I just purchased my first tumbler today and of course I couldnt wait to try it out. My mother turned all her grits, polishes and stones over to me as she has given up the hobby. I dont expect much from my first 2 batches that I started today, but who knows, time will tell. Looking forward to talking with many of you later. Take care everyone.

Thanks everyone, I will be sure to post as the rock progress. I'm starting with an Agate mix and hoping for the best with some Aventurine that was passed on to me.

Welcome to the board. Quartz gems like agate are a great place to start. Tumblings always quite a learning process but loads of fun....mel
