Hi everyone!! A friend of mine from this site was telling me how he collects rocks, at first I thought it was a waste of time, but I was wrong. I was invited to a place in Windera to do some fossicking, and it was awesome!!! I have also been to other places and have collected many rocks and will hopefully be able to buy a tumbler and tumble them soon.

Hi, Thanman! Have a wellcome almost from the antipodes! You know, I think nobody will be upset here if you picture your rocks before you tumble them and post them as they are now.

I had the same problem in the beginning, so here are the steps: - Go to www.photobucket.com and create your account. - Upload some fotos (Be careful at the image size 15" would be great) - copy the url of the foto (just below the thumbnail) - Now go to RTH page and in your message click "insert image" button just above the angry yellow face - A text (img)(/img) will appear and you must paste the url in the middle (img)url(/img). Actually they are [ brackets, not (, but couldn't type them in their actual form. - Preview your message to see the result - Share it with us - Wait for comments Good luck! Adrian PS. Looking at your birth date, you seem to be one of the youngest members on this forum. Congratulations for having such nice hobby at your age!

Thanks for the help adrian65! Even though I may be young, I love looking for rocks, it's so awesome!!!! Some of my friends at school think I am weird, but I don't care. Looking for rocks is one of my new hobbies!

You better get used to it, people think we're weird no matter the age (at least you have the excuse of being closer to childhood). Maybe when you'll show them some nice tumbled stones, they'll change their mind.

I took some photos of my un-tumbled rocks and the photos were shocking. Does anyone know how to take good photos of rocks.

Strong light, macro mode could help sometimes when you want to picture a single rock. Flash is not very useful in macro. Try to press the button halfway till the cammera focuses (you'll hear it "working" and usually a little green light is then on) and then press it totally.

Thankyou for the help again adrian65!! I'll try and get some pictures up in the next few weeks. I've been busy doing boring school work and also preparing for my brothers 21st birthday. But the images will come up one day!!
