You guys and gals have a great forum here! I have not really ever had an interest in tumbling. Recently I have given it some thought. Going to borrow a tumbler from my mother in law and do some experimenting. Lots more going on here besides tumbling. Just wanted to say hello for now, and looking forward to joining in.

I'm fairly new here myself. It may have started as a tumbling forum but includes pretty much all things lapidary and jewelry now.

Welcome, Taogem. Do you make all those cabs yourself or do you buy them?

Welcome! I hope you have fun here - we've branched out from tumbling only to just about anything rock related.

Welcome, Taogem. Do you make all those cabs yourself or do you buy them? Up until about four months ago I was buying in quantity from a friend in Thailand. I now have a pretty good start on my lapidary shop and have been cutting, sanding and polishing my own for the last few months now. There is still a lot of inventory from previous Thailand orders in my store. About 60% now in store were purchased, and 40% I have done myself since getting some of the basic equipment. I just purchased another group of rough and slowly getting them cabbed up ;D Thanks for the welcome everyone...... I just picked up a tumbler yesterday to do a little experimenting with, so heading over to do some reading on the forum here before getting started so that I can give it a whirl.

Welcome to RTH!
Isn't Newport one of those crazy towns that exist in two different states?

Welcome to RTH! Isn't Newport one of those crazy towns that exist in two different states? Yes, it does border both Washington and Idaho.
