Hi, I'm trying to find boron carbide grits for a customer who is tumble polishing corundum. Does anyone have a good (inexpensive) source that I can turn him on to? Many thanks! erin Mama's Minerals www.mamasminerals.com

Hey Erin, I looked extensively for the same thing, (for the same reason) but finally had to resign myself to the fact that there is no such animal. The places that have it want a LOT of money for it, and they don't want to sell in small quantities. You might want to consider trying some green carbide grit. It's supposed to be a little harder than the black, supposedly about 9.4 on Mohs. Ron ps. Try this site: www.silicon-carbides.com/#Greensiliconcarbides

Thanks! Any chance of finding someone that will sell directly to my customer by the pound? We might like to carry it in the future, but can't add it to our stock right now, and he's wanting it soon. I also found info on Argos Abrasive Division of SoCAL NEVADA Incorporated -- have you had any experience with grit from them? erin Mama's Minerals www.mamasminerals.com
