I used my Lortone 33B for the 1st time. I had a problem with gas and had to burp them a few times. On my 2nd load I put a couple of tums in each tumbler. You know, it worked! Never had to burp the tumbler yet! ;D

some rocks have more gas build up than others. a teaspoon to tablespoon of Borax can help in any cycle of grind.

HAHAHA Sands! Yes, these were Extra Strength Tums! LOL! Yes, this time I added the borax too! It works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've read some where that you can use a little baking soda also to prevent out gasing. It was referring to bottle glass and apache tears but may work on others if nothing else is at hand.

That is one nice thing with the small tumblers barrels- the o-ring allows outgas to release by itself!
