Hi all, when I check the barrel (ok, so I peek at the rocks), the rim of my Lortone barrel is always full of gritty stuff that a paper towel doesn't quite get out. I found that by using a plant sprayer to clean the rim of the barrel adds very little water to the mix while cleaning that rim real well. I use a lot less paper towels that way! Hope it helps others. Joe

Thanks for tip. The rim of my barrels are always getting all gunky and I use lots of paper towels to get it off to close the barrel back up again.
