Quick Question:
Are the plastic pellets referred to as a cushioning medium, small sub-pea size plastic grains? I purchased a couple pounds from a lapidary supplier and they are really small. Do they come in various sizes?
For some reason, I thought the pellets would be much larger like a the size of a pellet from a pellet gun.
Just want to make sure I'm running the right size pellets.

You got the right stuff. They are miserable little outfits, but they do work. There are other things that you can use. I have used pieces of Oak wood all cut up into different sizes, tile spacers, rubber bands, anything softer than your rocks will work.

I just read in another posting somewhere that people also find their pellets at craft stores for a much lower cost. Apparently they are also used for stuffing dolls and stuff.

BroGump, The little bitty ones work but they are a PITA as MichiganRocks sez. When you finish a load of rock, and want to recover the pellets for the next load, you just dunk everything into a 5 gal pail 1/2 full of of water and then strain the pellets off the top with a tea strainer. I don't know about using BBs: they aren't soft enough, me thinks. regards, ed/cuervo

Many thanks Mr Ed/Cuervo, I was thinking to collect them with a magnet but I cant remember is they are steel or brass! I am having a pitting problem and was thinking something drastic but it seems that the plastic pellets would allow penetration into the pits so I guess I will go with the majority then. LOL Many thanks, Mike
