Hi All - Last Sat. I posted a few pics of some Celtic crosses I made and a few members were interested in how I do them. Here's that thread: forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/index.cgi?board=Pictures&action=display&thread=1152369153Well besides being extremely flattered, I was excited about getting to share some knowledge and return the favor to many of the gracious RTH board members who have shared knowledge with me! So I came up with a tutorial on how I cut a Celtic cross on a 7" Work Force Tile saw. The tutorial is an Adobe Acrobat .pdf file and is available for download from my website domain, just follow this link to download: davidsonoftulloch.net/rocks/070906/crstutor.pdfThis is the cross I made for the tutorial: Hope the tutorial helps. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. Thanks, Dan

Hi Dan Thanks a good tutorial I got ony Pictures and dots for the words anyone know why this happened ? I see you mentioned under cutting . I made this little gadget from thin galvernised steel to stop this happening , I had it on RTH last year img.photobucket.com/albums/v357/john-edward/2006045.jpgIt works realy well try it!! a lot better than holding with your hand give me a PM if you require any further details I like crosses also again thanks for sharing . Jack, Thanks for posting the link to your thread about the gadget you made to prevent over cutting...I thought about it when making the tutorial but had no clue where to find the thread. A smaller version could easily be made to fit the work force or any other tile saw.
About the pdf file..it could be that you're using an older version of Adobe Reader and it's not compatible. To check your version - open Adobe Reader -> click on 'help' from the text menu at the top of the window -> click on 'about' from the drop down menu. You should see the version number there. If it's lower than 7.0 you may wish to upgrade. PM me if you need assistance and I'll be happy to help.

Well done ! Thanks for sharing. Be sure to show us finished results too. Are you going to tumble them ( Im assuming) ?
My next batch will have a couple of these going in it.
Im with the others on the hating PDF, but you did a good job with it. Thanks again.

Hi Dan, Tried to look at your tutorial but nothing showed up. Really disapointed. I think the acrobat is a no. 6, which as you told Jack, is probably too low. But am hoping to get round it by getting a friend to pull it up for me. I have just started tumbling and useing a tile cutter for all my cutting work with a diamond blade. Do you think this will be ok for most cutting work. Thanks, Max

Hi Max~ Sorry it's not working for you. I think the version of adobe you have is to old. The Adobe web site has the latest version available for download. I hope that once you're able to read it that it will be helpful to you. Good Luck! Dan Here's a link to the Adobe Reader 8.0 download.... just click on the 'download' link in the lower right hand corner of the page... www.acrobat-hq.com/

Hi Jack, Like you say, I find people on these sites really helpful. As to the rocks on our beaches, I have only just started looking. But I'm sure they're out there. Dan, My friend pulled it up and has come out ok, so will make good reading tonight. Thanks a lot for sending it. Max
