Just thought I'd let you all know that I tried my son's 6mm green plastic BBs that go with his soft air gun. Worked fine in prepolish! Didn't have the chipping that I had without pellets. He left them here, so I decided they were fair game. Had not realized that there was such a thing as pellets until I found this site recently, and I thought 'why not?'

Been using the same thing for a while. Had not thought to share with everyone here, sorry guys BTW, works as good (if not better) than what the rock shed sells!

Hi, I don't know if you guys get them in USA but do you know the little plastic Hama beads kids put on pegboards (you melt the tops with a warm iron and they stick together then you take them off the board and hey presto, a bead picture thingy)? Anyway, do you think they'll work as pellets in a tumbler- just as a temporary solution until I can get something a bit more suitable?

Great! I was wondering about that since my sons have those same BBs. I wondered if they would work and now I know! I've suffered greatly with pre-polish and even polish stage chipping on my woodward ranch agates I'm working now.
Thanks!
