Hi, Jack, i think you already have seen mine: forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=tips&thread=1172299960&page=1#1172473219The motor: 1500 W, 1500 rot/min. I think the motor's power could be lower, but the price difference between this motor and a less powerful one was very small, so I decided for this one. The blade: 300 mm diameter, 750 rot/min. I don't know if it's correct, but I know from some sources that the optimum rotation speed is about 600 ... 800. I hope you will build a good saw and maybe you'll post it. If I can help you, please let me know. Adrian

Never say Hi Jack at an airport! ;D
I built a 10" saw Jack and it cost me around $50, which was the cost of the arbor. I made a box out of 1/2" plexi-glass, mounted the arbor on a couple of aluminum bars which are attached to the front and back of the box, then cut a table top out of 1/2" plastic(not sure what type it is, it's white and feels like PVC), used my table saw to cut a slot for the blade, mounted it on top of the box and then mounted the whole assembly onto a piece of plywood. Mounted a motor behind the saw and ran a belt to the arbor. Works great and I've got 3" of blade on top of the table. I can take some pics if you would like to see it.

Hello, Jack (not Hi! ) I've built the tray initially for putting water in it and i tried it, but the mess was undescriptible. it was like an artesian fountain, in a few seconds the floor was full of water. This could be also due to my type of blade, with discontinuous border. I use now this tray as a protection. The little pipe it's enough for cooling. Adrian
