Research peak oil on the web. Many are predicting the collapse of our civilization. Do you realize that if the lights go out forever and 90% of the human race dies, WE WILL NOT HAVE THE ELECTRICITY TO TUMBLE OUR ROCKS!?

Oh My! Say it isn't so! We should write to congress and push for alternative fuels like hydrogen. Save rock tumbling! Oh...and that society thing, too.

We have yet to begin to tap the biggest source of energy on this planet today...bellydancing! It's not just for belly's anymore! If we could leash this power for good the results would be phenomenal...think natural vibrating tumbers! It's an idea who's time has come! (plus it's wicked cool to watch).

I spent quite a bit of time researching Peak Oil. What was missing was the edu., sites. Our entire social infrastructure is indeed dependant on "cheap oil." This we know. I am not sure, if back in the '40's we were all that independant without oil. Even is only transportation was the issue, cities spread out and distances between needed points increased to the point where if there was an interruption there would not be chaos. Maz, I believe there is indeed an issue there. I query if maybe we could process water for hydrogen to generate enough power to tumble. The time for that is to start now if there is to be no interruption in tumbling power. Forget the water heater, tap water, refrigerated foods, household heat in a condominium. How about clean clothes. Even the chemo in chemotherapy for cancer is dominantly petrochemical oriented. Is there an answer? Maybe we will find out. I hope it is not anarchy.

Andy, thought we might greet. How are you doing? You are doing an absolutely great job with this forum. I have read a lot of Peak Oil sites, and none of them seem to come from an independant research institution. That doesn't mean it isn't so, it just seems sensational. Maybe, if it is so, it means we all might come together with a common reality of survival. Wouldn't that be something. Jules Verne would come alive again, Tom Swift and his Triphibian Atomicar will discover the real Atlantis, gravity might even cease to be an obstacle. We will have real reasons to again think out of the box and explore.

Around the world there are so many people imprisoned , how come we feed them for doing nothing? why not tie them to bikes and make them paddle foor food and a bed. Get that power source to link up to the national grid and we are in tumbling business again .
Never stop tumbling haha

Oil is not in short supply!
For fourty years certain people (evry narrow sited) have said we would run out of oil in 20 years. Last time I checked, there was oil all over the place.
There are VAST oil fields all around the Gulf of Texas that have been drilled and capped. In Alaska that have not even been drilled. There are even more oil fields in Mexico (more than Alaska) that have not been drilled.
This is just what is available in North America. I could go on.
Think about this. Almost all scientists agree it not if, but when a meteor will strike the earth. You know like the kind that killed off the dinosaurs. That is if we live that long without some crazy country pushing a button and blowing us all up.
