Has anyone else had this problem?

A few days ago, I couldn't get here thru my Favorites even though I tried several times. Finally, I went to a Rock Tumbling reply that was in my Inbox and clicked on it from there. I got in. I don't have a clue why that happened and that was the only time it's happened recently.

It slows down from time to time, thats beyond my control still.

However theres only one time that I am aware of that the forum actually went offline - I went to the forum for support of this forum software and they had it back up in about 3 hours. Not bad going.

What are you getting message wise rosebudMN? Is there an error being reported at all when the forum appears down?

LMK and I can check it over.

Hey Andy,
I haven't had any problems getting here since I posted this yesterday but before that I was getting a that indicated the "page" I was searching for was not available. Also had a list of possible reasons such as could be domain problems or that the page has been renamed or removed etc.
I tried coming in through the main rockhounding link, my favorites, then tried through Netscape too but couldn't get in. I'm just glad it seems to be fixed now but if I have the problem again I'll copy the page and send it to you.

PS .. Doc, I mean these forums, the entire group of them. I couldn't get to the Rock Tumbling Hobby forums at all.

I wish I knew Doc, some kind of fluke in the wonderful world of the internet it seems. I can tell you this, it was pretty rough not being able to get my "daily rock forum fix" whenever I wanted to visit.

Hey Cher, that happens to me once in a while as well. Maybe it's a "midwestern thing". ;D Usually I just leave it for a few minutes and then try again and usually I can get in. I have had a few times where it just stopped responding. Sometimes if I just wait a few minutes it will start up again, other times I've had to leave and come back in again. I always just attributed to these being my problems because of that fact that I am using dial-up from such a remote location. My phone service is poor and I have to use line transfers to get to my ISP.

All,

In general - if anyone has problems getting on the board - I can get it addressed easier if theres an error message that you get on your PC, which if you send it to me I can post on to the host and make enquiries.

If you get "server not found" or "website not available" or anything like that specifically - if you post it on to me I can be more accurate when I gripe at the host

All seems smooth from here at the mo!
