ah, never underestimate the power of rocks, i too, emerged from the dentist, Cabojohn near my heart for moral support and genuine faith in things i don't undertand.. it helped, if only in my concious that i had a stone that meant a lot, a touchstone.
my mouth is all puffed out, but i survived, too.

Wow, I just posted, and it went into electricals space. Holy moly. It is a good thing it wasn't posted as I was considering renaming the latest cabojohn antibiotic greetings. I will tell you what, I have to take these antibiotic tabs that cost 15$ for three more days. I have an artificial knee and a steel plate in my skull. Tooth extraction can produce a rejection of the parts. Let me assure you, each tab lays me out for about six hours and I am glad the Loo is nearby. That is the only rough part. Those daggoned tabs cause heartburn, the squirts, nausea like nothing else. I will feel a lot better when they are gone. The oral work is great! I only feel two spots that had to have the teeth broken out sideways. They are like a mild bruise. There is some swelling so the choppers do not fit that well yet, but it is getting better.

Here's how I feel about my "Cabajohn" and the Laguna agate cab Bear gave me. I got a lighted curio cabnet for Christmas (something I have allways wanted) and filled it with the things I cherish most. Here's one shelf cookie

Tom, I got out of surgery, went straight to this board, keyed in and my wife told me I passed out on the keyboard. I was going to tell everyone I was ok, but I had just gotten out of anesthesia. On tuesday, I will have been out of teeth for one week. They put the dentures in right after stitching me up, and they fit real well. I guess what I had done, softens up the bones in the skull where the teeth were. The dentures were cast a month before surgery and they will shape the bones they way they were. Sometimes I almost forget the dentures are in except when I go to drink something. The fractured teeth had deformed my lips and I couldn't drink anything without spillling. All of a sudden, I can use a spoon, glass, and coffee cup! I want a steak! It will be about four weeks untill I can eat solid food. I know this Chinese Karoake Biker bar that serves Prime Rib with shrimp! I can put up with Ploud Maly, and Uneasy Lider for the prime rib. It was great the last time I was there. I had some Indian Horseradish that burned untill the third day. I was almost able to flatulate to Bethoven's Fifth. Da, da, da, Phlaaaat! It was great although it burned a lot. I met Bill W. long long ago. I thought he was a jerk. Little did I know I would teach step one from Bill's Story. I met Dr. Bob in Seattle years ago. My shop's name is Seventh Chapter. Life is different today. Full, mixed with ups and downs, pain, joy, heartache, fullfilment. Life is good. I bet you know what I mean. I didn't even throw up this morning! I thought good mornings began with a good barf.

Hi Doc,
I have been out of touch for a while, but what great news that your surgery went well, and that you are on the road to recovery!
I hope you get to eat your steak soon and that you'll be posting a pick of your new found smile.
