In my shaking, sweaty hands is a brand new, Ultratec faceter!! I went to the woman's home and she dropped in my lap, the faceter, a full set of laps, full set of dops, two humungous rock crystal quartz chunks, a boule of Windex Blue JAG, books, and we talked faceting for hours. She is a master faceter and her work is amazing!
I almost cannot sit. I have been fighting with my Facetron that is out of alignment, and here is a zeroed brand new Ultratec, with the bells and whistles! Full digital!
I feel like I need to explode!
Just thougth I would brag, I have no one else to turn to for these things.

hey, Doc, i agree with Herm, couldn't have happened to a more deserving person, now all you need to get is a decent digital camera so we can all see what you are talking about!
maybe it was the ultimate donation to the tooth fairy?

I am really hoping a digital camera is working its way to us. Some of us have already offered to let me post through their sites. I just have to make the cash. Hopefully soon.

Ralph and Muffy photos are on my other 'puter which has a virus I picked up in LA. When I get a chance, I will hook that one up, clean out the virus, and post Ralph, Muffy, our Serval, and pics of the old shop.
I just haven't really had time, our shop is way too demanding to even keep fixing our home.

WTG doc see you met a real person that wasent hung up on material things she knew you would be in heaven and you would put it to good use and that you would take the time to show someone else the ropes and make a difference with it,, and remember good thing come to good people so enjoy
and take a lunch break tomorrow and walk around the place and find a good deal on a digital camera hahahaha i wanna see what your makin maybe it will shake me outta this rut im in hahaha

Sands, Jenne and I are going to target a digital camera next. Not only do I want to post, but I want to be able to display some of my better pieces to solicit more work.
I think you guys have more faith in me than I warrant. Today is my birthday, and I went to the shop to catch up on work I did not finish due to having my teeth pulled. Things are backing up. The house is unfinished, the addition is undone, the shop is not quite finished, the work is piling up.
The work at the shop is a good sign. We honestly thought we would have to wait for at least a year untill the local folks trusted us. Instead of a year, we hit from day one! The local folk are referring us to their friends and they are spreading the word. We are way over our heads. We wanted to just do costume, wire wrap, lapidary and pearl restringing. Instead, I am setting diamonds, rubys, opals. We are so tired we are walking like zombies. The fleamarket is talking about giving us a lease. There are only a few lease holders in the fleamarket and it has 400 vendors. I guess they like us. People are calling us at midnight asking if their work is done.
We have created a monster.

hey if you got people talkin bout your work thats the best,, word of mouth is the best advertizing --- take the lease then you got a home for your shop and people will know your gonna be around for awile its good for biz

yesterday (the 3rd) was also my husbands birthday, HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, DOC!!!
yesterday and today is also the Japanese holiday called Setsubun, the Bean Throwing Festival. it is a celebration of Spring and kind of a "spring cleaning of Evil Spirits". you chuck beans at the evil spirits to drive them out of your houses and places so that good luck can come in. there is also some symbolism of the beans hitting the fresh earth as a sign of renewal. it is also considered very good luck to eat the amount of beans as the years you have lived.
may the luck continue for you and Jenne, Doc! now get out there and throw a few beans!

Krazy, I do not throw beans, I pass beans. Beans are nothin, when I pass the end product, the Bengals run in fear! I kinda like the sound also, it makes me feel like I made a contribution.
Hubby is an Aquarian huh? Does he have lofty thoughts?

lofty? not sure. he is an engineer. for an air sign he is pretty boring. he'd have made a better earth sign. but i'm a Libra so we work well. despite being an engineer he has whimsey. don't know what his rising sign is..perhaps an Aries or Leo, i'd guess, but will never know for sure.
Doc, have you ever had your chart done?

Krazy, my is one of those people. She did a full chart, and I have scorpio in venus, and the rest is pure aquarius. I am a fixed air sign. Jenne says my chart has ashole written all over it. She loves me anyway.

DANG! I just HATE it when I miss a day here~! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DOC!!!!! I'm soooo happy things are going so well for you and Jenne. And the bengal babies, bet they can't figure out what the heck is going on, but they like it ;D Do what you can, then you can and let the rest lay there and look at you till you are ready.
