Makes me homesick. Whew. I was living in the Barrow area for about ten months. I do remember the bears. Look great untill they smell your food. Only saw one sub break ice while I was there, and it was a ways off. Great shots. Looks like midday.

I miss Alaska. This Floriduh stuff sucks. Too much heat, too much sun, too flat, surrounded by water, everybody wearing a bathing suit even in December. It just isn't natural! There should be sea ice. The earth doesn't move right! The winds make a real mess once in a while. My wife even planted bananna trees and we have orange trees and grapefruit trees. Blech! It ain't right. The highest part of the state is 128ft. No snow ever. Phoey. I cannot even see well in all this sunlight. Arrrrgh. Thanks for the memories. It was the most beautiful place on earth to me. I got frozen and was declared dead. It is like being burned. A person kinda heals but when they get near a fire or major heat source, the body goes into the shock that caused it. Same with me. Fatal hypothermic shock. Cold caused my body to shut down from the extremities inwards. Just like I was there again in the middle of it. I can never again be there to see the view you showed. that is a wonderful photo and I appreciate it.
