I was given 3 large potted orchids last year in dire need of being repotted and seperated. All are doing well and have flowers but today was the grand opening of one of the flowers. The second pic is one of the spring bulbs in bloom. Hang in there all you frozen folks, spring is on the way.

what beautiful photography and what lovely blooms. orchids are so weirdly beautiful, aren't they, kinda alien planet life forms?
great work on the rescue!

Hey guys. Chasroc, orchids seem to be a mystery to a lot of people, but they're not that fussy. The ones in the pic have been outside since I got them in Sept of last year. Orchids basically like what people like; a few drinks of water, some light, and, to get them to bloom, a little fertilizer(okay, people call that vitamins). My sister-in-law gave me an orchid she had for 3 years and the only flower on it was the one when she bought it. So she gives it to me, totally disgusted and frustrated, and the following January it blooms in my house. They are really cool plants, but the last thing I need is another hobby, so I've refrained from buying more.
Anyway, thanks for the comments guys.
Ed
