Hi NMrocks, I'm not certain about your situation - thats one thing for certain!!! Mate - if you have bad days at work then leave - and leave now. Believe or not, there are a GAZZZZILLION opportunities for earning a living out there without sucking up to someone else. NM - you have got to see the bigger picture - walk out - and make your own way in life. I hope my words arent wasted - Do it NMrocks - leave the slackers behind and make your own way in life - DONT FORGET ITS YOUR LIFE NOT THEIRS!!!! Get a plan - think it out - and trip on out. DONT LET THE BUM BOILS GET YOU DOWN....... Life is too short to be sucking up someones pants - DOC will agree I think. Its hard at first, but then its ok - you DO NOT RELY ON YOUR STUPID JOB (no offence - but if you have a job - then realize that some other brain is sucking from yours). Mark.

Mark, that is what it does indeed take. I just walked out, without any preparation, without any direction, anything was better. It is fearful, it is uncertain, mistakes can be big ones, but tomorrow comes whether you are there or not. Have courage, it is really easier than it seems. Just do the next right thing, keep moving forward, think, think, think, just do it. If it doesn't work, find out why. Climb out of the box, and make it work. Good luck. I mean that, it is worth it. All of it.

if it's any solice, NMRocks, i was in a similar situation. My supervisor and the person the worked under my direction were "hunting and fishing buddies". they were also "lunch time beer buddies" and the kid would come back and promptly screw up his work and/or fall asleep at his desk! leaving me to fix/correct his stuff as well as be accountable for my own.
i went through the "proper procedure" according to the company Rule Book to no avail. i went through all the steps and finally went to my supervisors supervisor and turned in my resignation.
there were severe reprimanding up and down the ladder, the kid got "reassigned", i got to keep my job, my supervisor and i had some heart to hearts and everything pretty much worked out.
i guess what i am saying is, that these days, most companies have procedures (handbooks) for dealing with what you are struggling with. look it up, follow the procedure and stand up for yourself and what you know is right.
don't let bad behavior on someone else's part lead to your loss of income.
what i can add to this "moral of the story" is that my last job i did walk out. moral and professional differences that i could no longer abide by forced me out or i think i would have had a nervous breakdown.
but that's a whole 'nother story!

I am so glad I am self employed. I don't have to work for anybody I don't like. As long as my ladies buy me the cleaning products I like and have a good vaccum cleaner, I;m happy!
I did have a crappy day today though! I knocked a jar of pickles off the table and some of them landed on my electric space heater. I cleaned all the mess up and went on about my business. About a half hour later started smelling something burning, looked around and couldn't figure out what it was. Then the RV started filling up with smoke and I was starting to get a bit nervous because I couldn't figure out where it was coming from. I'm running around checking all the appliances and the outlets they are plugged in to, everything was fine. Then I looked at the heater and it was sparkin' and smoke curlin' out of the top of it. It had been off when the pickles fell on it, but apparently when I cleaned up the mess, I inadvertantly turned it on. I am so glad I was in the house when it started smoking or I would be one homeless chick! Again! Been there, done that before!

Every day at my job is crappy. And I've followed Mark's advice more than once - just up and left a couple jobs with nowhere to go. Go on to what I think is a better job and it turns out to be worse than the one before! Oh well, maybe after 10 years of school I'll find something I enjoy Aaron

I feel for ya ...
Sometimes its just not worth the trouble!
When it gets to the point where you are bringing it home to the family ... tell them to find someone else!
Life is too short to have to contend with those kind of problems!
Hang in there ... or if need be ... let go and keep your hand above your head ... that way you will land on your feet ;D

Bear, I live by myself (well, I live with numerous quadripeds) so I can't bring it home to my family. Closest family is in Chicago area. Instead, I keep it all bottled up inside.... I really can't just walk off the job - at least not until I have another job, 'cuz it pays the bills. One day, I do believe, I may go postal. As Sands says, "hahaha". S

It was the moon- My Boss ranted and raved all morning- I just stopped talking and he forgot what he was going on about- just looked at me funny and walked away! I have walked off jobs before- Just up and left- My bosses ALWAYS called me back and begged me to come back to work- and me like a fool always went back!
