Another music thread Who's music makes you melt and go all wow with their voice. I love Rufus Wainwright, especially when he sing his version of Hallelujah . Norah Jones is amazing - her voice makes my husband drool. Mama Cass singing Dream a little dream of me So who does it for ya ?

you are gonna laugh, but Ozzy Osbourne has always done it for me, even after the embarrassing TV show.
Jerry Garcia, Willie Nelson, Eric Clapton and of course, Roger Waters.
as for female vocals, you can't get any sexier than Sade.

I shall have to be the Pariah here, but I think John Adley is dynomite! I met him just after the filming of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. We got to talking, and Jim Steinman showed up and said he wanted to work with him. Hence Meatloaf was created. Second was Harry Chapin. I like doing Karoake to Taxi. My wife gets to hear a very young me in the background, and I am singing against me! Twas weird at first. Female, Anne Wilson first, Lita Ford second. I do like the ballads. Last I saw Lita, she was married, doing the family thing, and driving a surburban! The old days are only a memory. However, you can check out, but you can never leave.

This is embarrasing. First because he gives me chills, second because I'm not sure of the name. Gino Vinelli "Into the night" Is that it?, I'm getting bits and pieces. Female: ABSOLUTLEY Linda Ronstant. Her voice is so rich and so pure, it's like a flawless diamond. I don't care if she's singing pop, gospel, country, espanic, Buddy Holly covers or Mary had a freakin lamb, it just mames me tingle. She can tilt that head back and WAIL!!! OMG Doc, you sang back up on "Taxi" I LOVE that song! I also remember how that backup solo gave me goosebumps, more than the song it's self. Was that you? What a talent he was. what a lose. What a talent you appearently are. What a find for a friend cookie

Rose- Ya, I can second the motion on the Norah Jones thing. Let your hubby visit this URL and there is a "RADIO" button on the upper right corner of the screen. Gives me something good to listen to while I surf. www.norahjones.com/home.htmGaetz#nosmileys

Pho, I'm with you on that one, although I'd put Elvis, then Jim Reeves, then Bobby Vinton. Females ... Patsy Cline and Karen Carpenter.

Gotta go with Alison Krauss and Deana Carter. Though they don't have the "melt" factor, Wynona and Terri Clark have a certain "hubba hubba" tone to them.

Cher..I put all those artists into the number one slot...even if it is crowded there. Hard to put them in any order. There are a number of others I would put right up there with them too...just way too many to name.
I came up in the rock and roll era and still enjoy that great music..also like some country...(mostly the "old" country) and even a little classical now and then.
Like the song says,,,rock and roll music just sooths the soul...

WHOA! Gino Vanelli...for a second I was blasted right back into highschool. God...isn't it funny how music can do that to a person? Who does it for me completely depends on my mood...when I'm concentrating on jewelry or rocks, it's got to be something soothing....Loreena McKennitt usually. Van Morrison's Tupelo Honey...Cat Steven's wild world both remind me of a young man I loved alot once...very sweet memories. If I want to scream in the car the only thing that works for me is Janice, or, oddly, Shakira. Of course Leonard Cohen, he's the best. I'd crawl across burning glass to lick the gum on the bottom of his shoe... But man...Gino Vanelli...suddenly I'm 17 again. Thanks for that!

Dean Cain - he probably can't sing, but who cares, I'd listen/look at him anytime. He's on my "card" - 5 times!
