Sorry, I haven't posted much lately. Life has been hectic. I just got all my equipment together and thought, now I will learn how to make cabs. I worked up around 30 cabs and they turned out beautiful, until the polish. No matter how many times I reworked them, they all had scratches on the top that I couldn't get rid of.
Then I had company drop in. They have been in and out for the last three weeks. I cut a lot of slabs and thought I would list them on Ebay. Got out my camera and set everything up, took two pictures and my camera quit. $600 camera less than two years old, but out of warrenty. I sent it in and they want almost $200 to just open it. Flat rate no matter what is wrong. They had said they would offer me a trade in, so I checked on that. They offered me a $5 tradein on a cheaper camera.
I went to town and bought a new Sony camera. Still had company so couldn't seem to set down and figure it out. I couldn't get the flash to work. Finally after 4 days, I took it back in to see if they could figure it out. The saleslady spent about two hours trying to figure it out and couldn't. She checked her display model and it was doing the same thing, so she called Sony. Did everything she told her and still couldn't turn the flash on. After another day, she finally figured it out. The camera has to be iniatialized first, but there was no where in the instructions that told you that.
O.K., I finally got the new camera to work, so decided it was time to find out why I couldn't get the scratches out of my cabs. I got the magnifying glass out and checked all my wheels. I couldn't see with the naked eye, but my last two wheels are full of holes that look like they are jammed with debris. I've already spent a fortune trying to get this all set up, so I ordered two new wheels.
Company finally left for good, so I cut out about 60 beautiful cabs to have ready to work on when my wheels get here. I finally managed to get about three auctiions for slabs on Ebay by scanning them. Ready for the auctions to end, and I lost my Email. I have used the same Domain name for about 10 years that is registered with everyone I do business with. After about 24 hrs of fooling the computer trying to figure out why I wasn't getting any email, I finally found old password and got into my email forwarding account and found that they had had a complete hard drive failure and lost all information. Any way, I did manage to get email back just as auctions were ending.
Maybe, when my new Nova wheels get here, I can finally set down, make some decent cabs, and get this all together.
Wish me luck! The good kind for a change. I am going to do this, but I've had enough setbacks for awhile.
