Anyone might miss me, I'll be gone for awhile. Leaving tomorrow (Thursday) to go to Iowa with my daughter and Mom. Taking my old laptop along but don't know if I'll have access anywhere. Be back Monday then leaving again on Tuesday for another couple of days. Take care everyone!!

I don't know Kim, I've been trying to do some searches but haven't found anything yet. LOL I did a search for "Iowa Rockhounds" and came up with a baseball team .... pffftttttttt!

Looks like we'll be about 10 miles or so from where they filmed the movie "Field of Dreams". Might have to go see that place and see where they brought ol Doc Graham back to life. My hubby remembers him as his school doctor.

Hey Cher, back in my previous life, I used to go pheasant hunting at least once, sometimes twice a year in an area between Mason City and Cedar Falls. The best place I ever stayed was in a campground in Greene. Right on the river. The DNR man opened a site just for me (the campground was closed for the winter) and turned on the electricity and only charged me $5.00 per night. I just left the money sitting there in an envelope when I left. Everyday flights of ducks and geese would come in and land on the river. It was great, except for the cold snap that hit and it dropped down to -5 degrees F for several days. Water pipe froze and I blew out a rear hub on my Jeep. Still I remember that trip as one of the great ones, even though I did hardly any hunting.
