I am truly sorry. I guess I'm a little too jaded to internet scams to believe that there could be something serious like this. I just assumed since most of the postings here are for crazy things that this was too and you have to admit, the name of "madcow.com" is not really condusive to an honest business proposal. I am very very sorry.

Sorry Pho, thought this was something to poke fun at, especially w/ a name like madcow.com. I do a bit of investing and will actually read the info all the way thru. If interested, can I invest more than $1.00? If successful, can I get stock instead of money back?
Your son wouldn't be PhD Kenneth Xia would he??

I was not and am not asking anyone to invest...that is a personal decision...just wanted to get the word out.
My son has no Phd..

Well...I guess if I had not know who Ken Xia is or anything about him and read his site I might have had the same reaction. Although,,I am trying very hard to change my ways and not assume things or make fun of other people ideas....some are truly worth the time to read...look at Bell...or Edison...Einstine...jsut to name a few. So...I will try to not be offended by any comments made about "madcow" or my son's idea.....after all..everyone is entitled to their opinion and I will respect that.

phoooooooooooooooooooo i really thought you were sharing internet humor here! you should go back and modify your 1st post to share that this is your son. had i read that prior to going to his site, i would have entered with a whole different attitude. now i have lots of questions. when is the 1st board meeting?
i am definitely getting a piece of quartz out of your bucket for this lol.

That's very true, had I known it was your son, it would definitely have made a difference. Like I said, after hundreds of scams out there, you really can't blame a person for thinking it was a hoax or a joke. What image does the word "madcow" bring to mind? It's been thought to be funny that your son copied my remarks to his page, I'd like to say, it really isn't. I was not kidding around with that, my husband has been out of work since last February ... not just out of work but told that he can't work anymore because of his back. We've sold just about everything we could, used what little he had in retirement but we keep on keeping on, it's all a person can do. I am not the kind of person to ridicule when I know what's going on and I have apologized, what more can I say.

This is Ken here, just want you to know that I'm not making fun of your quote on my page. It's a rather common reaction and the easiest way to publicly state my stance on it. I really have been unemployed for a long time prior to moving back to the Bay Area and I do know what it's like to search and search and search and not find anything. Please don't take it personal, as you'll note i left out any identifying text on purpose as well, it's not my intention to make light of anybody's situation. That being said, I will remove it if you request.
On a business note, somebody asked when the first board meeting is, well, some time this month is my guess. I meet with my lawyer this week to file the papers. So far there's just me, but I have two other co-founders in mind so it'll be a small meeting.
On a lighter note, i'm well aware that I may appear as a bit crazy sometimes, but that's just to scare the normal people, i'm quite harmless and laugh at my own website just as much if not more so than others. My apologies for popping into website here, i'll keep postings to a minimum.

Cher...you need not apologise for anything. I truly beleive Ken would never disrespect anyone about a job situation....his mom would smack him if he did. We are all friends here and I do respect every one's right to their opinions even if I don't happen to agree with them. That is life..and well...this is rouckhounding.....so let's all get back to hunting rocks....

Thank you Ken, your words mean more than you know. You are close in age to my son and reading your remarks, I think I can understand. He is crazy too and I know he does it just to torture me. He also has the moxy to attempt to do the different, much good luck to you. If I had the $$ I would definitely be interested, but it looks like this too shall be another ship that passes me in the night.
No, you don't have to remove ... ashamed of it as I am now, perhaps it will help others to understand.

I must agree, I went into reading this post thinking it was a joke as well until I read the entire thread. Do Ken a favor and edit the first post! Also, for people to take this a bit more seriously, have him change from "Madcow" to something a little more professional. I for one would like to see him succeed and would be more than happy to send him a couple bucks to help. Being a business owner myself I do know how hard it can be to get started. PM me a mailing address and money will be on the way!
