I figured out part of my bp problem ( ok so I'm just guessing!) I need to vent! BTW...the new meds have me at a perfect bp of 120/80...first time since birth I'm gonna bet! Anyway, back to the vent. I hate not having any money. I work hard, and I never have any money to buy stuff like a new tumbler etc. I always have to make do with what I have, which is usually cheap a$$ stuff. Like my C/E tumber. Damn thing is making a noise that is about to drive ME insane and I can't figure out how to make it stop. If I loosen the belt pulley it won't spin. The belt is good. Its like when the motor heats up it stops making that confounded racket. I don't have enough money to get out of this tiny a$$ apartment into at least a two bedroom so I can put all my hobby stuff in there out of sight, sound and mind. I can't afford all my meds, I can't afford a hair cut and I can't get a second job. Ok I feel better now, so ya'll jump in and vent and say what's making you mad no matter how petty

ok, this is petty, but it drives me up a wall. i get so ANNOYED when people insist on going IN the OUT door at the grocery and then get all huffy when you (going Out the Out door) are in their way.

I hate when people mock me, especially when I'm fighting for better service. And I also hate being patrinised, also when fighting for better service. And I also hearing the words "tough" or "too bad" when I'm insisting on better service.
And the words "get over it" (instead of being comforted) when I feel sad or depressed.
Gosh, I sound so selfish... I hate this, I hate that. But all I'm asking for is a little respect and understanding.

Gosh, I have an usual 170/70 for blood pressure. I kinda thought that was normal. I have been as high as 210 but that was back when I was in the gym. I just got back from the oral surgeon. I went to get new dentures fitted, part of the package, and the dentist noticed four teeth that had just been broken off, and never pulled. For almost 8 months, I couldn't eat, talk, swallow. The training dentures never fit. I did not know anything, the dentist never told me anything, and I lost 125lbs! Mind you, in the pictures, you can see I am not really a porker, so the pound loss came from what I had built in the gym. I do feel lighter however. I am down to 255. I went to the oral surgeon yesterday, they pugged me in, did the deed, and I am eating better today than I ever did with dentures. I lost my teeth in 1996 from freezing. It took this long for the jaws to stabilize enough to operate. I do have two phantom teeth however. Weird. Zena, it is going to get better, not easier, better. I was homeless after leaving Alaska for almost 6yrs before I created my business. Sometimes it was days between meals. I refused to go on any aid, go to any shelters, or accept handouts. Hulk Hogan was in my shop two weeks ago. Now, he is big! He did not buy anything, but who cares. He had his son with him. Life is change.

OUCH Doc! Sounds like you had a really bad time with those teeth. Glad to hear you're able to eat better now.
I had a phantom pain for the past 18 years. I had a root canal to a back molar when I was 15 , and still to this day it just throbs every so often for no reason.
Dentists were baffled, saying my tooth had no roots, and it was impossible to feel any pain because it was "dead".
It was just recently discovered (maybe about 3 weeks ago) that it's not really phantom pain that I was feeling. But I have a tiny abscess between the tooth root and the bone (it's actually the bone that's hurting, making it feel like it's the tooth). And every so often the abscess gets bigger (when it starts to throb), and then gets smaller (when I feel nothing).
My dentist said that I can do 2 things. Live with it or go in for surgery. It's not a debilitating pain, so I chose to live with it for now.

Sooner or later, eithe the abcess will work out, or go away. My phantom teeth are a trip. I told the surgeon about it. He just shrugged. When I eat cold foods, or spicey, my upper right, long gone molar jabs pain. My right eye will water sometimes. The left canine inscisor also reacts to foods, and sometimes pulses. The weird thing about the teeth, they are not feeling in the gums, they are feeling where they used to be, up in their old heights. The lower dentures fit so much better now. I have eaten more today, one day after surgery than I could eat in a single day before. My teeth got frozen, I had frostbite inside my mouth, my tongue had ice on it when I got into a populated area. I only have no taste, and the scarring on my face is only visible under my left eye. When I got into a populated area, the Dr at the clinic gave me some coffee. I could feel the teeth crack. I walked out of the clinic. They made me mad. I cut the bones that came from my sinuses on my right temple, and the skin healed over the spots. Even though my ears were black, I kept them. They ring all the time. My sinuses got frozen and the bones shattered in the sinus canals. For three years, every time I bent over to pick something up, blood ran out of my nose, eyes, ears. For almost two years, everytime I went to sleep, when I got up, I left my face print on the pillow. Frostbite is really something! It is like getting burned. When you freeze your eyes, they freeze open. It is pretty weird. You are from Montreal, you know what it feels like when your finges thaw out. Eyes make that look like haveing pudding after dinner.

Yikes Doc, that sounds nasty.
I can relate to frost bite, but not as bad as yours. I had the top my ear frost bitten one winter day back when I was a teen. The skin healed up pretty nicely, but my ear doesn't look the same as the other one any more (Still looks like an ear in one piece, but not the same)
I can also relate to cracking teeth! They don't have to totally frost bitten for them to split. I have 4 vertical hair line fractures on 3 of my front teeth. The dentist has tried many times to put a filling over them, but they just keep falling off (filling doesn't have much to anchor itself to). You can hardly see them, but man, you sure do feel it sometimes. Now that you mention it... I'm thinking that my sinus trouble could have something to do with my teeth. I should go and check it out one day.
And one of my "canine" teeth is really sensitive along the gum line. It's very hard to brush that tooth without feeling jolts of electricity rush through my head. OUCH! Dentist says "live with it, or kill it" (root canal even though there's no decay). right now I'm just living with it. She has tried to put desensitizing stuff on it, but it never worked. Then she tried covering it with a filling... of course the filling comes off. Teeth can be nasty at times

Eeeeeesh! I have an abscess in my top left molar that bugs me from time to time. My old dentist was a real a$$hole & set me up for a bunch of work I couldn't afford at the time since my dental plan was expiring & I was in school at the time & was quite poor. Long story short, he buggered up almost all of my top teeth by doing prep & temp work to them for things that never got done & sent me to collections for the $32 remaining on a $3000 dental bill that didn't get covered for some reason. He also refused to remove the mercury amalgam fillings that I was complaining about that the dentist I had before him didn't do correctly. They were turning my teeth black on the INSIDE! I kept telling him I was getting mercury poisoning from them & he just smirked & said "That's impossible. The amount of mercury in them is minimal & it stays in the filling after it's cured". Well, it didn't! The blood supply to your teeth starts at the back molars & works it's way through each tooth up to the front inscisors. After I had those two molars filled when I was a teen I have had nothing but problems with my top teeth even though I took care of them & my bottom teeth have also been fine. The dentist wouldn't touch them & said that composites are not used for molars since they will crack under the chewing pressure. He said it was my fault that my teeth were rotting from the inside out when the enamel finally did give out & cause cavities & abscesses in those teeth. The other stupid thing that dentist did was to put a gold cap on a tooth RIGHT NEXT to a mercury amalgam! This causes a rather unpleasant electrolytic reaction whenever they touch while i'm chewing & when I drink anything acidic. The two metals have a voltage potential so it's like having a small battery living inside my mouth & it causes the amalgam to corrode over time. The gold cap has been great but I sure wish I could find a dentist who doesn't have their head so far up their A$$ that they can't see the obvious problems that some of the so called "standard" dental procedures can cause for their patients. You know, a dentist that ACTUALLY LISTENS to the patient & doesn't just shrug their shoulders when you are telling them there is something wrong! I guess your judgement gets clouded in the exhaust of your new Jaguar when you make $260G+/yr End of rant...

LCARS I had that battery feeling in my mouth back when I had those mercury fillings too. I've since had them changed to white fillings, but back when I the mercury filling were new, my mouth was always buzzing and I complained about it constantly. My dentist at the time put some sort of liquid on them and it got rid of the battery feeling. I don't think your gold cap has anything to do with it to be honest (well, yes in a way it does). maybe the dentist scraped a bit of the mercury "coating" off when he put the gold cap on, and never resealed it. and that's what's causing the problem. Might be worth checking out. Might be a problem that can be easily fixed in 2 minutes. Want a real buzz? Stick a piece of tin foil in your mouth against those teeth

O ok then ill throw in my two bits in relation to the idiots that run healthcare in america.
first you check in and find out that your appt was moved, not long enough to go somewhere, but long enogh to make waiting too long.
then you go inside the office proper and what,, wait for the doctor, and wait and wait and wait finally the nurse comes in
then they tell you after starting procedures you cant have it done today because, A: labs werent drawn last week B: what do you mean no one told you it was fasting C: were sure we had the scheduling nurse call you D: thats not our problem, so come back in 2 weeks after having the labs drawn. E: we dont do those lab tests here, you have to go across town F: (across town) no you have to go to the main hospital ( where You just came from) G: O Ok i guess we do that test here now, (news to the nurse) H: ( week later ) YOu are late for your appointment (15 min because they changed appt and said they left message) I: wait some more, and more J: doctor finally arrives in room K: You did not need this test done (news to me) L: you did not need the bloodwork done beforehand even if you did need thiss test done. M: which nurse told you this. N: she no longer works here. O: we will go ahead with what needed done(next week of course) P: Finally a month after originally scheduled and changing doctors, surgeon and hospital everything was done in less than 1 week and surgery was scheduled.
Now they actually expect me to pay for services not rendered and also inconsequential as a cash pay.
now suddenly the bills change drastically, so yes in a nutshell the medical system is a crock of insurance biling crap and it sems that columbia / hca healthcare (the stock in question in the politician scandal ((and this guy want to be president)) ) is a heartbeat off of being absolue fraud.
but according to the consult i had with a lawyer is because they changed billing to correct it even though it was after he started proceedings they wont face charges for attempt to defraud.
and i still get stuck with some of the bills.
this is how they treat people fighting for their lives well,, damn how do i get on the other end of this scam. dont give a shit as long as insurance pays the tab,, and we wonder why we cant afford insurance.
time to put on the tin foil hat,, they are looking for me already, i have exposed them.

I told you... I told you so. The Electricals created the Drs., then the Polititions, then they got volunters to tell people how much better they are now, vs., then. The reality, we are nothing but gigantic batteries to fuel the Electricals machinery. They are tightening the web. Run while you can. Another point to consider, folks who graduate suma cum laude, do not emigrate to Floriduh. They go to NY, or Los Angeles, or Chicago. Those who just squeaked by, and managed to take a test and pass by the margin, come here. My experience is an example of the Floriduh motto, and state slogan. Yup, we do it right, we do it twice! Don't ever get sick down here.

I don't like dentists, but I do like the people who work on my teeth, and I do like the way their office works. If they make you wait for more then 15 minutes past your scheduled appointment, they give you a $10 Blockbuster gift card.
