Ron I have not used one but I read a lot about them- A lot of machine for the money- Very easy to use and good programming- The best machine in the world won't find scratch if you don't know what your doing- I have 2 machines One just like the Garret Ace 250- I have used it for 2 years now- I know it very well and I don't even have to look at the meters- I can tell just from the sounds- what to dig and what to ignore- (I don't ignore much) I have a nother machine- almost $500 dollars- I could not find squat with it at first cause I was trying to compare it to my first machine- and (they are made by the same company) Until I learned what the new one was telling me I dug a lot of junk and ghost signals- I'm still not as good with it as my first one- But it has put some silver in my pocket!

I've got one and I still get a thrill out of heading out to the woods where old cabins and rail beds used to be near my house. Well, so far I've found a pipeline, (eek!) half a horseshoe (good or bad luck?) and a .45 slug. But the thrill is in the digging and the mystery of what you might just pull up some day. Despite not having found much I still head out every once in awhile. By the way, if old pull tabs off of pop/beer cans were worth money I'd be a millionaire. Went out to a dry lake bed a few years ago and that is all I came up with! Have fun Randy.

Well, I went ahead and ordered one. I lost a bracelet that was roughly 10 grams of 14k yellow gold in my back yard. If I can find it, I think I'll be money ahead.

Ron, I haven't had too much time lately to go out and use mine but I should be getting some free time shortly. We've closed down my shop and now I'm just sticking with construction so I'm not overwhelmed with responsibilities anymore. I haven't even ran my rock tumbler in a month!!

I have a bounty hunter. I have only had it out once to play around with though.

Well my Ace 250 came yesterday. That was exciting, now all I have to do is wait about 4 months for winter to get done with. Ron

Hey! I found a bottle cap today! Of course I could see it laying on the ground, but my treasure chest contains one bottle cap now anyway. Grounds so frozen, if it ain't laying on top of the ground, I'm not gonna find it.
