Just as in "real" life, there are going to be times on message boards that folks don't see eye to eye, things are misunderstood, what have you. But instead of getting into a big flame war or name calling or making the board uncomfortable...couldn't we just keep things civil?

I love this board. I spend most of my day checking in on new threads. When an argument starts, it makes it really unpleasant and uncomfortable to read the posts. So I don't read them. But as the fights get bigger, more and more posts have to be avoided.

So, remember folks, there are real live feeling human beings on the other side of this screen. Think before you type and if you don't have anything to say but snarkiness and sniping, maybe its best not said at all.

As I just posted on the thread concerned, new people coming onto the site would get pretty put off if that was the first thread they stumbled into - it does not promote and friendly and SAFE environment which as we all know this board IS.
