my sister and i always have a hard time coming up with something for our parents for christmas. they are big airdale lovers and their last 2 airdales died some years ago. they have a little bitty miniature rat terrier who is getting on in age. i think every animal they have had we are to blame for and even though my mom will gripe she will be loving it up as she gripes. we have named him bear and he is 5 mos old. we will be going to georgia to visit my sister the day after christmas to see the new aquarium in atlanta and pick up the surprise. i can't tell my child as she won't be able to keep the secret so it will be a surprise for her too. bear ok and this makes bear look little even though he is not - this is one of the 2 irish wolfhounds my sister has (among many, many more dogs, cats, & horses). the dog is almost as long as her dining room table! needless to say people who come to her door run away fast when they smash their faces to the window and start barking. isn't he cute! kim

Kim And you get unconditional love as a bonus. Our home would be just a shell without Li'l Girl & Whiskey Bear. Pete

Doubt you can use a baggie if you're following that horse in the park.

Oh, goodness, Kim, what's not to love? While you are in Atlanta maybe you could give me a call. It sure is pretty up here. PM me if interested, K?

i can't wait to see him! we haven't had an airedale in the family for many years since sugar and cinnamon passed on. we have had 2 welsh terriers (smaller version of the airedale and fiesty little buggers) and this will be our 5th airedale. man i must be getting old!
i'll have an 8 hr ride back with my mom griping and saying she didn't want a new dog. she'll be climbing over the seat to get to him while she says this lol.
