for a very large bone spur on her spine. Surgery scheduled for Dec 27th, not a serious operation but it's in a tricky spot and she's my baby. She's scared, I talked with her and told her I'm not leaving her side the whole time until they make me. Can you all say a little prayer for her, she needs strength and comfort right now, and well me too... Marian This is my 16 year old baby...

In my day, spinal surgery was almost always a disaster. Today, the neurologists have perfected the technique to a fine point. My wife had three removed from her neck from an accident. To this day, no problems other than me reminding her not to slouch. Tell your daughter she goin be ok. Today is not back then.

Amerbulldog I'm certain that all members of RTH will be saying more than a few small prayers for your youngest. As for myself, I'll include her in my prayers until we hear that all went well and recovery is progressing satisfactorly. Merry Christmas to you and yours, Pete

Oh Marian, poor thing, she must be terrified. Tell her we'll all be saying special prayers for her (what's her name) and praying that everything comes out just fine. I'm sure it will, there's been so many advances in the technology. Give her a hug for me.

Thank you everyone from the bottom of my heart and Rachelle's... She went to pre-surgery today and she'll need two units of her own blood for the surgery, which her surgeon forgot to mention to us, and there is not enought time to get two units before the 27th. The surgery is postponed until spring break. The look of relief on my daugher's face was priceless, it wasnt the right time. She'll have time to reflect and come to terms with the surgery. Thank you so much for the prayers, they do indeed have power in a way I didnt expect... Merry Christmas everyone...
Marian and Rachelle...

Marian, See how quickly Prayers are answered. I'll be sending some prayers to you both still. I have two daughters of my own, and am thankful everyday for their health. At least she can have a Nice Christmas without thinking about having to go to surgery on the 27th. Hang in there Steve
