So is anyone else here a fan of Prairie home companion and Garrison Keillor?

I've listened to it from time to time. It's kind of a nice change for something different to listen to!

That show is the best! A great break from the inane box (T.V.) I also like Baxter Black the cowboy poet, he is a frequent storyteller on a lot of NPR stations. I just bought one of his CD's but haven't had time to sit back and listen yet.

They are having a New Year's Eve special tonight at 11PM. I think I'll tune into that instead of Dick Clark.

Well, it's hosted by a guy who is an old fashioned storyteller. They do a 2 hr. radio show each week complete with a real live sound effects guy. It's been on the air for a bit over 30 yrs. so they have built up a lot of running jokes. There are skits with actors and lots of music. Various folk, blues, jazz, and stuff with no catagory at all. It's real old fashioned and kinda hokey I guess but I've been listening for around 20 years so I guess I'm hooked! It's a show you might like! prairiehome.publicradio.org/That link takes you to a site with a link to find stations that broadcast the show in your area. They are on the air tonite at 10PM Central time zone. Try it you might like it!

Hey, Joe, thanks for the link. There is a station in the area here so I'll have to give it a listen. I noticed they have archived shows on the website - gonna check them out, too.
