First off i want to say thanks to everyone and the amazing caliber of people here.
I came across this board and site whilst feeling tired for no real reason (oh there indeed was) and began to read and read and read. Having been a rock hound from childhood finding so many others nationwide i felt a bond (i found out that we are all as silly and fun((watch out for the electricals)) ) being able to read and chat with people about their projects and experiments etc was great , also being able to stray from the poor beaten up tried and true books and directions i had used for years for shortcuts etc.
I have seen a lot of new people join in the last few months and it seems that they also are just as impressed by people here.
of course theres a few tifts as with any family but theres also such a great friendship of faceless people (almost, see member photos my ugly piratical mug is in there) but the group is so outreaching as can be seen in the attention given to people in need. look at the response to Xena's call or for that matter what came my way.
as i said earlier i was tired for no real reason and as a guy i broke down and finally went to the doctor. diagnosis, thyroid cancer. (oh $hi^ !!!) after the surgeries and radiation etc i am doing well with no signs of active tumors in body (remissive state) the amount of personal notes and such, people i have never met and who had no reason to give anything more than the time of day sent words of compassion and comfort, bid on my auctions and spread the links around to help me with the mountain of bills (don't even ask how big,,, lol i had no insurance)
All i can say is THANK YOU ALL no words can express how much it has meant to me.
and as the new year begins (no hangover this year, great start already) i know that things will only improve for me and I wish and dream for everyone else that their 2006 has as good of an outlook.
