Anyone want a gmail email account email pm me, I have 100 that I can give away. Pretty decent third party email server. Does a great job of cutting spam down and comes with 2 gigs of storage, great for putting files and such online. Like I said, I have 100 invites that I can send out, so just send me a pm with your email addy that you want me to send the invite to and I will get it out to you. You just have to take the link gmail will send to you and set up your account. It is free and offered by Google. Take care, Bill
Edit-Just wanted to add that I need an email addy to send an invite to, you can then look over gmail from the invite and see if it is something you are interested in. It's a legit service offered by Google, you won't get and spam or anything after getting the invite.

It's a great idea to do this as it allows you to also sign up for Google Talk. By using Google Talk you can do away w/ your domestic long-distance telephone service and use the Internet as your long distance service provider. I use Google Talk all the time and it works great for voice conversations and Instant Messaging. Video is next and will provide a valuable service as well. For those of you who still use dial-up, I'm not sure how Google Talk works but I'm sure it's OK.
If anyone wants details on how to set up the Google Talk, PM and I'll walk you thru it. It's easy and it's absolutely free. This is a great way to talk to your loved ones wherever they are and you can do it on an unlimited basis.

Is it pretty much the same as Hotmail / MSN Messnger? With MSN You can do web cam, voice chat, typing chat, play games, draw, and get free e-mail

Sounds about the same, Alice. I'm not 100% as I am not that familar w/hotmail or msn. I also used it to set up another account on photobucket. Never can have too much free hosting space you know!!! It is one of the extra services that google offers.
My favorite that google has is the Picasa. It is a photo organizing program. Nice and simple! Has the normal photo fixes and such. The best feature it has is a one button method to send a photo in email. Sizes it down, opens you email program and off they go!! No messing around. (geez, hope I don't sound like a google ad here!! I'm not a very big fan of how they do things some times!!)
With the gmail, You can look it over from the invite, nothing saying that you have to sign up for service. Give it a look and then decide.
Take care, Bill

If you want to be spied on - then Gmail is definately for you. For another angle on what google is really about. See the pic of the monkey with 4.3 billion $ - hes having a laugh allright. If you want to read about how google stuffs webmasters - read e b m a s t e r w o r l d.com - the google search news forum. (Go back a bit and read a lot) I think you may be surprised at what a bunch of scum they really are.

Just like any other megaconglomerate. What about Microsoft, Walmart.....etc. They are all sticking it to the man.
