Well, today was payday, so it should have been a good day, right? Yeah it is still raining but it is PAYDAY which means my seller got paid and my tumbler will be on its way!
Well, yeah thats all good and fine. But I had to go get car tabs today. There was an initiative a few years back to make tabs $30. Somehow my $30 tabs ended up costing $100. And since the truck is now 5 years old, I had to go get it inspected and ended up in a line with a guy who ended up screwing up my record in the database so it took 15 mins for them to get that right. Then, something happened and some piece of equipment wouldn't work with my truck. At least they had another piece of equipment. The truck passed with flying colors as expected.
But can I go straight to the license place? NOOOOO! For the insurance thing I had was old so I had to run by wife's work and get the new one. So THEN I go get the tabs and they didnt even ask for the insurance card.
Well, I decide I must go get some rock books so I know what I have and what I find so I head to the bookstore. Then I had a 20% off coupon for an oil change and since we have been remiss, I ended up stopping by jiffy lube. so my $30 oil change ended up costing $190 by the time all was said and done. But at least the diff fluid is changed and the truck isnt whining anymore.
So, $222 to ebay seller (with another $50-60 due to another seller). $15 for inspection $104 for tabs and $190 for oil change/engine flush/air filter/diff treatment/wiper blades.
So I open up the door thinking "oops I spent way too much money" when the smell hit me. At first, I thought it was the cat box but the wife changed that last night. So I thought a cat was sick. Nope, near the cat box was runny poo from a 115 lb dog. Talk about gag a maggot! UCK! So I put on some gloves and got the dustpan out and some cardboard and scooped it up (it was runny poo).
My package from the rock shed was SUPPOSED to arrive today (stupid Fed Ex). I see a big box waiting for me and am excited only to discover it is the canister set I ordered with my gift card from BB&B. My package has been stuck since the 11th in Colorado according to fedex tracking. I guess for now I'll have to settle for my book on rocks in washington.
