Ok Ron, I agree not to talk about snow! Keep posting the winter wonderland pics when you can, it's nice to see others suffer with me. This pic is from "THE blizzard of '03". I took it 3 days after the snow had stopped falling. Wanted to let it melt a bit before shoveling. They couldn't get a plow down to my street for 4 days. It was officially 36" of snow. We don't want to talk about the drifts!

Cher, what is all that blue stuff around the trees? It looks vaguely familiar... ROFL I was wondering the same thing when I saw it, first time it had shown it's color in weeks. Today is back to gloomy gray again with light snow falling. BLECH!! I am just not a good winter person! I have to admit though, this one's been good so far. I've only had to wear my winter jacket twice, the rest of the time a sweatshirt is good enough since it's been staying up in the 20's and 30's.

I posted these up a while ago. This is December 14, 2005 where I had to literally shovel the back yard to make the kids a small hill. December 15th it started snowing at night while we were sleeping. so we woke up to this (record high was set for the most snow to fall during December... 41+ cm) 6 hours of shoveling by hand! no breaks! that little mole hill I made for the kids had grown to this Mid January it started getting mild, so the snow got sticky.... we started building a fort. And now the fort is a little higher (going to get higher still, if the mild weather keeps up) Here's the kids for size reference

Wow Alice, that's pretty neat to do that for the kids and much safer for them. Down here we shovel the yards and bank the snow against the house for extra insulation.

OG NO! the last thing I need one kid jumping up in the "roof" while the other is inside.
I go through daily heart attacks with my little one. An Igloo would bring me to the ER!!!

MR et al:
The snow is beautiful, the winter weather is appreciated as long as you keep it north of Mississippi. Or as an alternative on a Christmas card. Thanks but no thanks.
Don't miss it one iota.

I love pics of snow. We don't get much in my neck of the woods. So all you people who live in snow country...MORE, MORE, MORE pictures. Keep on posting them.
