But I hope not too much later. I'm off tomorrow for my second chemo treatment. They won't take me here at the chemo clinic because of the problems I had so I have to drive to Duluth (95+ miles). Kind of stinks, add's a couple more hours to the day but at least I get it all done in one day (I hope).
Have to tell you about this though. I saw my oncologist on Wednesday. He was absolutely amazed at the way I responded to the chemo and my blood counts were excellent. The swelling was gone from all of the lymph glands in my neck and under my arms. He feels that with the way I've responded so far, I might get lucky and only have to do six treatments. We'll see though I want to make sure it's all gone. He also feels we won't have to do anything with the tumor, he believes the chemo will take care of that too (crossing fingers).
Now the only thing left is to argue with my insurance company. The hospital billed them for my week in the hospital $46,288.03 and they turned it down. Isn't that a hoot! Some problem with the way it was submitted but needless to say quite a shock when I read the letter that said it was my responsibility. NOT!!
See ya when I get back, hopefully tomorrow night!!

Cher Ain't insurance Company's grand? Don't let them push you around, get an attorney if necessary. My better half was diagnosed with bone cancer in Feb 05 and has responded fabulously. We feel so lucky. The insurance people tried to put it to us but we finally got their attention and their money. My best wishes for a speedy and completely successful recovery. You are in my daily prayers. Pete

Sending up tons of prayers for you. I'm glad to hear you are responding so well! Get your treatments, get well, deal with the insurance with a strong hand, they will get the message.

Woooo Hoooooo I did it!!! I collected all of my toxic waste and didn't get sick at all. Got all the treatments done in 6 hours and the main one (the one that made me so sick last time) in 3 hours 45 minutes. I needed to be able to take it in 4 hours so that I can do it up here at the chemo clinic 10 minutes away rather than 2 hours. I'm so happy that this went so well, it's a major relief not to have to worry about getting down there.
Thanks for all of your well wishes, you guys really help to keep me going!!
