I went down to the post office to get the small priority boxes, (7x7x6) to ship this blue lace out, and I wait in line 20 min. just to hear the lady tell me they are not gonna stock them there anymore. The woman told me I could drive to the next town and check to see if they had any left, I did and no they don't. I spent almost 2 hours trying to get these damn little boxes. I have to call a 800 number or order them online. I had to register to order, then, to order the boxes you have to order a minimum of 25 of each size. So I ordered 9 different size boxes for a total of 225 boxes! And all the stickers I could order, and 225 address labels. After I got done with everything online and hit the confirm button, it tells me 7 to 10 days to get the damn things. They prefer you to use their boxes but want you to go through a bunch of crap to get them, it's bull s**t if you ask me.. My mail lady will hate me now, having to deliver all that crap also.. Serves 'em right for screwing with me and my boxes.. Thanks for letting me get that off my chest..

LOL Dog, I ordered about the same amount in one fell swoop. Our letter carrier wouldn't even bring them to my door. She made me go pick them up at the post office! Whenever she has a big package to deliver to me she won't drive to my door either, she just parks in the street and honks. Gotta love the rural carriers!

Dang earthdog! I do a lot of E-Bay stuff and love the free boxes delivered to my door. Have had very good luck with them so far. If y'all go out of your way to provoke them them they just might start to charge for those nice boxes or discontinue carrying them at all and I friggin hate dumpster diving for mailing cartons. Next time think ahead and order what you need and don't friggin try to kill the goose that laid the golden egg. Have y'all ever had to go to a Mailboxes etc or some place like that and "buy" good cartons. Man I have and they're like several dollars each. The PO is doing us a fantastic service here! Thanks for letting me get this off my chest !....mel

Mail people are like any other category of people. Some are great, so are just plain lousy. I'm fortunate, my mail lady drives up to the door with anything that won't fit into the mailbox.

Oh I plan on using all of the boxes and label, Sabre52. Aint nobody going out of their way to provoke anyone! My city is over 100,000 strong and it sucks that the only post office we have decides to stop stocking the boxes. Sabre, are you gonna tell the person that needs only 1 or 2 boxes a year for shipping a birthday present, and they have to order a minimum of 25, that they are provoking the post office? I send maybe 15 boxes a year, and you can ask people like Cher, Stefan and a few others, I have never used their boxes, always used my own small boxes, but when I do need a few, and they make me order at least 25, thats messed up. You gonna tell Baz he's screwing with the P.O. also? I didn't go outta my way, I had to order some anyway, just thought I would order 3 years worth, and start up an ebay business, like you have. So don't worry about having to go back to dumpster diving, that won't happen. They make way to much money on all of us to discontinue the boxes.. So please don't jump on me about ordering 225 boxes.

yeah my mail lady has been giving me a hard time in a good-natured sort of way. I am gonna make her a necklace.
NO MORE EBAY STORES!!! Don't you people realize how much trouble I am in? hehehehe ooh pwetty rocks...
Oh yeah, I also had boxes upon boxes when I was doing heavy ebaying too. Well, at night, I would just take the ones I didnt need to the PO and leave them there. Or take em when the sweetheart guys were there. It worked out like someone else was saying, they were thankful because THEY can't seem to get what they need from the main office.

I'm ok Cher. If you do come to Wisconsin, I'll take you to the Gem Shop and after that we'll load your car full of cheese, if you have room after the Gem Shop trip...

Hey Edog - If you get tired of storing all them empty boxes and takin' up space that could better be used by an 18" slab saw, just throw some rocks in a couple and mail 'em to me.
Be glad to help you free up some space. 225/15 per year = 15 years no room for saw!

My problem isn't getting the boxes, our PO keeps them well stocked ( I still ordered some!) my problem is getting the damn box to the receiver...I mailed out a box to a buyer on ebay on Jan 25, and it STILL hasn't gotten to Texas. All I can find out is that its "enroute". Via what? Pony express? Good thing its insured etc

Let me rub it in a little bit, Edog. You're gettin' 225 boxes in the mail and there ain't a rock in any of 'em . . . Bummer. But then again, 225 flat-raters would probably be grounds for divorce.
