Whew, that too just about forever to download but man they sure look like they get along great. So when you going to have babies to sell or would that be a nono being one's a long hair jrt and one's a short hair jrt? I suppose they couldn't be registered then.

Cher, it took a while to load? It opens right up for me. They both are fixed, so no pups here. Just wait till Buster, our big dog gets used to Jargon, I'll make another video this spring when they both will gang up on the big dog together.

OK just showed this to the wife and now she wants a couple JRTs herself. This isn't exactly new, I know she's wanted one for a long long time. But I think 4 dogs is a bit much. Especially since we are over the limit and are theoretically supposed to get a hobby kennel license (you can have either 2 or 3 here in our county. We have 2 dogs and 3 cats).

Cher, we also have a big shepard mix that the wife save from a shelter 5 years ago. he isn't allowed in the living room or in the bedrooms, he is a big clumsy dog, but a hell of a watch dog. in the summer he stays out in the back yard to guard the pond. He is mean as the devil if he doesn't know ya. Here he is with Lacy cooling out after a wrestling match, them two wrestel just as hard as Jargon and Lacy. Here he is, making sure noone falls in the hole after I dug the pond. All the dirt behind him is what I took outta the hole, then we used it in a raised garden.

I'd have to fence in a pond that sized to keep my dog out of it, even if he was tied down.
Kinda sad having a water dog in the desert...

Wow that's a heck of a huge pond. Did you line the whole thing with that rubber stuff or just the edge? That is amazing, I love ponds and that's about the prettiest one I've seen, I like the way you did that. Puppy is cute too, that was nice to save him from a shelter. I love it when people do that. How long is the pond? Are you still working it or is it all done? That's just cool!! Nice job!!

that is a deep pond. no telling what i'd have in one that size....snakes, beavers, muskrats, and nutrias.
i sent a link to my sister who has a jrt and she emailed me back that she can fully connect with your video of a "jack attack" from a jack russell terrorist lol. i knew she'd love it.

The pond is 12' long and 7'wide at the widest. and 3' deep in the deep end. Cher, haven't you seen the pictures of it this last summer? This summer it will be 2 years that it's been up and running. These pictures are from when I just got it running. I lined the whole thing with .60mm rubber roofing material. I dug it 3' deep so I can over winter any fish that I didn't catch and put in the fish tanks. A pond is never finished. This year I'm gonna build another waterfall at the oppisite end of the hand pump. Here is a picture of it this last summer.

I'd love to get into installing ponds, great money in it, specially in the Chicago area. For a pond like mine, people are paying anywhere from 5 to 8 thousand dollars. It cost me 600 bucks. Then I figure I could also do a winterizing and spring start up/ cleaning service. Problem is I spend all my extra money on damn rocks.
