I got a bunch of pet wood from Hinckles and my dogs were both very curious about it. Well, my lab decided he was going to take it to his bed.
I then pulled out a piece that would have been great for throwing and he got all excited until i explained i wasn't going to throw it cuz it is hard as a rock.
Silly doggies. He is now licking the piece he took from me.

LOL - that's funny.
If it was a bit longer, I'm sure my lab/newfie would be all over it. But all the pieces of pet wood I have would easily fit into his mouth with plenty of room to spare!
I'll have to remember to not purchase (or find) any pet wood that resembles a stick...

My old boss had a dog that wouldn't play with sticks only rocks. She'd wait forever for you to toss it in the lake so she could dive for it. She always brought the same rock back too, I've seen her dive up to five feet deep and find it. I thought that was pretty cool for a dog to learn to hold their breathe.

Cher - My uncle had a Springer Spaniel that did the same thing....dive under water for rocks...he loved rocks so much that he wore his teeth down to nubs. Crazy dogs! Gotta love 'em....
