Hey Debs, that snow of yours is supposed to head this way, N. Mi. They are forecasting 2 to 2 1/2 feet of the stuff!! Yuck!! Plow mounted on truck, gas tank filled, here we go again.
Question for you detector people, do they make one that has some way to see what it is doing? I don't have hardly any hearing left on the high end. Only 25% left on the left side, 50% on the right for all ranges, but the high end is almost all gone. I did find a watch that vibrates. I finally have an alarm watch. Borrowed my son's watch a couple weeks ago, sat there in church with the alarm going off wondering way everyone was looking at me!! Thanks for any help, Bill

Also, I got a padded headset with mine which they recommend using anyway as it saves on batteries. Definitely makes a loud enough beep to hear. That might work for you.

John, Thanks for the site. I will have to check it out and do some research.
Cher, Maybe I will have to see if there are any shops around here that I can try one out and see if I can hear one with the headphones.
Sounds like a lot of fun to take a detector along when I hit the beaches in the warmer weather. Do two things at once, look for rocks and "hunt for treasure"!! Thanks much, Bill

I have 2 of em- A bounty hunter quickdraw 2 and a bounty hunter landranger- I have 4, 8 and 10 inch coils for both, padded headsets, 2 hendheld pinpointers, 2 probes, recover shovel, knife, trowel, cover sheet, padded kneerest, rechargable batteries, coil covers, full body armor, and a partridge in a pear tree (in case I get hungry!) My qd2 was my first machine and is about in line with the Garret ace250- it is a great machine and I love it's easy of use design- the Landranger is a lot more power and a lot harder to learn- but the depth this thing reaches is unbelievable- plus the numeric target id makes search all the more easier-

Trouble with looking for rocks and treasure at the same time is you need to carry too many buckets. (I'm planning on finding lots of treasure hahaha) I already drag along two five gallon buckets, no room for more. What I need is a four-wheeler with a trailer, in my wildest dreams.
