Is anyone else following them at all? Our snowboarders really rocked, seconds away from sweeping the medals.

I'm just watching the curling...which they hardly ever show enough of.

I'm actually a bit of an Olympics addict. It's about the only thing that stays on at my house during those weeks every other year. I've loved watching the snowboarders!
Is it just me, or is our Olympics team a bit clumsy this year? The number of crashes, falls, slips, and such just seems unusually high this time around - two skiers finished less than expected because of crashes on Sunday, our luge doubles crashed, Ohno slipped, men's figure skating had a number of falls last night...
Did they make it slipperier in Turin than normal?

Herm I agree, too much hockey and not enough curling!
I don't have the tv on during the day either but for this I have it going all day. Hey that luge is awful and it wasn't just our people. During the ladies luge there were a ton of crashes. They said that that luge run was banned from use a couple years ago until one of the turns was fixed as too many were getting hurt.
That think with Apollo really ticks me off, he should have stayed where he was so he could at least race again.
I felt so bad for Bode Miller yesterday, he didn't even realize that his ski caught that pole when he got DQ'd. He was in first place too.

I stopped following the olympics because they show too little curling- That has got to be my all time favorite sport!!! I wanted to join a curling club (too bad they closed before I was old enough) Curling ROCKS!! (get it?)

Man what was up with that Snowboard cross? That was the coolest thing I have seen in a long time (guess I'm not an X-games fan)

The snowboardcross was wild! And when you read about the dirty tricks they played on each other during the quarter- and semi-finals, it's a contact sport!

Something must be wrong with the olympics this year, Canada in one of the top teams leading with medals - something is up, that's just not normal!!

I was just appalled at Weir's attitude in the men's figure skating. He endedup in 4th place so walked off in a huff without waving or anything at the people who were cheering for him. It sounded like they were booing, don't know if it was at him or at his scores but it sure didn't look good.

Yeah, Weir was something, wasn't he. I find it funny that he prides himself on being "diva-like" in his behavior. And what does he blam losing on? Missing the bus. I also hate the new scoring system. You get points for attempting a quad, even if you don't land it. So the audience gets the fun of watching a whole bunch of people fall on their butts for points. Yay, us.

Olympics are boring to me. Give me monster trucks, drag racing and nascar anytime. I wanna see crashes, roll overs, bent metal and hear exhaust pipes.... Thats just me. Go ahead, ream my booty, tell me I am unpatriotic. Nothing more american than the three things I watch. I hope the usa does good, just don't get into watching it.

With the exception of the bent metal & exhaust pipes, you just described the Olympics this year, earthdog!

LOL He sure did, that's about all it seems like's been happening. How about that skeleton, I think those people are out of their freakin' minds to do that. That's just scary, I mean if they run into the side, they are going in head first.
About Weir, he's a bit too much of a "diva" for me but I thought it was pretty crappy that they changed the bus schedules and didn't make absolutely sure everyone was aware of it. Where the hell was his coach? He should have been the one making sure he knew.

Here's attitude for ya:
Davis after winning the 1000m speed skate (Hedrick ain't no better)
The Italian broad in the ice dancing, after she hit the ice in the second part of the event. Kept it going the next day right until their free dance was literally under way. No medal on the ice, but she retired all the soap opera awards for the century.

Woohoo Sasha Cohen just took gold in the short program. All of our US gals skated their hearts out, they were beautiful.
