YAY! Pitchers and catchers reported yesterday. There's alot of coverage about the Mariners' new catcher, Kenji Johjima.

Moyer gave him his new nickname which has him flummoxed, being from Japan and all, he's not been privvy to our humor.

So Moyer was out there and feigned shock at who was behind the plate. He said "Who are you?"

And Kenji kept saying "Joe! Joe!!!"

And Moyer said "Joe? Joe Mama?"

And so the poor guy is now stick with Joe Mama as a nick and he has no idea why.

Oh, this is gonna be a season of jokes....

Sounds like he's gonna be a real leader in the clubhouse. And he's been learning english AND spanish so he can better communicate with his teammates.
