Thanks, pho. The doctor I went to was one of the pioneers of Lasik. I do intend to go to get a second opinion before I let any zapping commence but the doctor I will probably go to is considered quite the expert in Lasik. The thing that impresses me is he still goes for training now and then so he can remain on the bleeding edge of the technology. He was also willing to ask his other patients whose eyesight was as bad as mine if I could talk to them.
Besides, wife won't let me go to one of those chopshops that advertise zapping for like $399.

With something as important and your eyes...I'd go only to someone you trust. Those fly-by-night outfits should not even be allowed to open their doors. Nope...when it comes to surgery I want someone who is going to do the job right the first time. The eye doc who did my surgery is a little on the uppty side but I can put up with that. He is good and that is what matters to me. Besides..I know where he parks his boat...

LMAO!!!!!! He'd BETTER do you right then.
I have an intense fear of being blind. Had it all my life. I could put up with losing any other sense but going blind really just....gives me almost a phobic reaction.

Pho, I wondered what happened to you and your pet wood. Glad to hear that the first half is done. The second will be done in no time, and we'll see pics of your pet wood and you working on your tools. Cal
