Going under the knife...again. This is to remove a hernia and HOPEFULLY my last trip to the hspital for a long long time. Doc says I'll be out of comission for two weeks. I think I'll be crazy by the end of two weeks.
Wish me luck

Aww Robert, I'm so sorry you have to go through this. Going under the knife is no fun for whatever the reason, just keep thinking about how much better you'll feel when you're done. And how much easier it will be going out collecting rocks. Will be thinking of you, let us know how things went as soon as your able.

I had that same thing about 5 years ago. I know what you mean by going crazy in two weeks. My problem was that after the first week or so I was feeling fairly well, and I would absent mindedly start to do something, but I was quickly reminded (it hurt!) that maybe I shouln't have bent over that way or leaned in that direction. etc. Don't rush trying to do things too soon.
Good luck! Wayne

No stefan, this is an old one but needed to come out.
All went well but I must say I still hurt like the devil. The only time I feel okay enough to do anything is when I'm high on drugs and then all I want to do is sleep. Hopefully I will be back to my ol' self in a few days.
Thanks all for the prayers and thoughts.

Take it easy Robert and don't over do. It doesn't pay to push too hard after surgery.

robert, cher is right. you let your body be the judge and you pay attention. you have been through surgery and it takes time to recover. give yourself time to heal!
