Yeah, i'm still here! Just a bit less frequently & actively. It has been pretty busy for me lately, with less "disposable" time during the day for RTH. Heck, even my tumblers are only working at 65% capacity right now & I haven't been out to do any collecting or prospecting for a coupkle months! My backlock of tumbleables should keep my barrels rolling for awhile anyway. Right now i'm rolling some of Kim's mugglestone which so far is turning out pretty decent. My main hangup right now is trying to find good paying work in my field around here (technical electronics, hardware). I've been officially unemployed for 11 months now. I worked for the better part of a decade after graduating from tech college trying to get ahead & finally decided to "take a break" when I got laid off of my last job. The stress was really taking it's toll on me & i'm glad I did. This last summer was the best ever! Employment insurance was paying me 70% of what I was making working (due to taxes) & I could pretty much do whatever I felt like any day. The last time I had that kind of freedom was, well... NEVER! I tried to apply for UI in the early 90's & I was told I didn't qualify (crappy PT job) so I decided that since i've been paying into it for over 10yrs & haven't seen a cent, I would take my share now while I had the chance. I still love everyone here & don't plan to leave any time soon so don't get too worried, I just go through phases. Right now I think i'm nearing the end of a dull phase. As soon as Morel mushroom season starts up here I will be going out every chance I get to hunt for those elusive prized culinary fungi but even though my interests & activities change seasonally, I will never lose interest in rocks. It looks like i'm here to stay guys!

Do you sell them or pick them just for yourself?

LCARS, Quit playing on the other forums...C'mon, I like LCARS better than Mushroom Doom. As for the others, I'd like to see them post that they're still alive and kicking. I've got a few names left on the Box list, and some of them haven't posted for months on end. I wonder if they'll even respond to PM's when their name gets drawn. Steve Steve

I would think if they haven't posted in months it was time to take their name off the list for the box. James is one I'd like to see posting a note here too. Dog gone brats anyhow, come along and make friends with us then just up and disappear without asking. Gheeshhhhhh you'd think they have a life other than this forum which I just don't understand at all. *smile* Well, whereever they are, whatever they are doing, I hope life treats them kindly.

Do you sell them or pick them just for yourself? Both. If I pick more than I would use I will sell but I find that you can never have too many dried morels on hand. Oh and Steve, I can't help playing on the "other" forums since those contests have been providing me with most of my income lately! On the other hand, rocks only seem to be COSTING me money at the moment LOL! ;D Maybe once I get some more equipment I can start producing some stunning jewelery that will make me rich & famous so I don't have to "work" to make a living... Hey, a guy can dream can't he?

I have a morel kit from hungi perfecti I am gonna "plant" this weekend. LCARS, yeah, I decided to quit at the beginning of last year and have been blissfully unemployed since then. I've pretty much decided I just can't handle the traditional employment scene because, frankly, people tend to piss me off too much. So I take care of the home while the wife works.
