well, I just registered for on-line classes to give one more try at finishing a BA! I'm scared and excited about going back to school, but at least I don't have to sit in a class room with a bunch of teen-agers I'll still check in from time to time with our rock progress, but my time is about to be very occupied! Going part time, I should be able to finish before we move again in the summer of '08. Which would mean finishing just a couple of months before my oldest starts

I'm headed for a BA in Humanities. I have changed my major so many times and done all the lower division foundation work that I have 100+ credit hours, but still need another 37 upper level credits to graduate with anything. It has been too long to go back to the math or science majors, so I'm just going to take all kinds of interesting upper division classes in the Humanities and call it done. I'm starting back with a class in Cultural Anthropology and Linguistics, with a 1 credit class in personal finance management. History, Philosophy, English, etc. are doable classes in an on-line environment so I can go to school in my jammies ;D and finish without setting foot in a class room. And the nice rumble of the tumbler in the background will help me concentrate Wendy

Good for you Wendy. I was 43 when I went to college to start learning about computers. It was quite interesting to say the least.

Heck you should go back to the buildings!!! Most of the kids look like they are wearing jammies anyway- Congrates- I keep toying with the idea of finishing out my English degree (yea take a look at my typing!) I'm only like 64 credits away- the wife says to go for it- But I love work too much (actually I wanna take over the company and then the word! muhhahhahahahahha)

Yep, good luck Wendy. I finally finished mine at the ripe old age of 37. Glad I finally finished. It was definitely worth it. Hard, but worth it. We are difinitely meant to go to school before marriage, kids, and full-time jobs.

Wow, Cher, I tried a computer course a year or so ago and bailed out on it because it was SO far over my head! (More of a math class, pretty tough on-line.) Good for you!! Stefan, I would love to go back to the actual class room, but with two busy kids, husband, and living overseas, the classes offered don't fit into my scedule at all. With the online classes, I participate when everyone is at school or asleep.
Thanks, Sandsman1, I'm looking forward to it!! I'm with you Toad. Hubby finished his BBA with a wife and one kid, and his Masters with wife, kid and DD#2 born in the middle of it all! It was a long tough road to say the least. If I can maintain the pace I want to set, I will squeek in just before I turn 40! ;D
